Raining In Columbus

It is raining in Columbus. I'm drinking some beers, watching videos about Cleveland and how awesome  it is. The day was spent hanging out in rural Ohio hanging out with family for Easter and it was great to see my nephew and my family. My lady was in town for the family visit so that made it even more enjoyable. I hope The Dude and Freaky had equally enjoyable experiences at home during the holidays. I understand how hard it is to make it home sometimes. I guess that makes it even more special. On a less sentimental note, I finally bought a bed! I'm moving off the couch and onto a mattress on the floor. The quality of life is still pretty low, but soon I might move up two feet onto a bed frame. I'm unsure as of now how I'm going to come up with the finances, but I'm sure at some point I'll be able to buy something to put the mattress on. It is looking like a plywood box might be the best option. I brought home some Easter dinner left-overs. Yeah, I know, some of you are moping up the left over treats. Turkey, Ham, mashers and potato salad. But me, I've got chicken wings. A whole two pounds of them, and they're awesome. It is pretty great to have treats in the fridge just waiting on our arrival. I have a nuke, but I like them much better cold with cold BBQ sauce on them. I'll end up chasing them down with a tall glass of milk, but probably more like a few beers the later it gets in the evening. I've got to work in the morning. Wealth people need their yard to look nice, and perverts need to eat tomorrow. The Due and I have plan to throw back a few to take the edge off, and we hope Freaky will do the same. I wish everyone a happy Easter, and I guarantee your life is not as bad as you think.

Freaky, Away Not Forgotten

Today, Freaky started his new job. The Dude and I continued our old jobs, in the same old city.  Soon we will be reunited, I feel sorry for the city where this must happen. I was posed with a question from The dude via text last night. He was asking "does this blog encourage our nights to be awesome all the time?". The answer to this question, just to be sure everyone is on the same page, is yes. We have been known to rage hard, most of the time harder than everyone else, and we will be bringing it even harder. Things to watch out for when your out in the future, and our partying wisdom:
1. Freaky likes sharks
2. The Dude will turn anything into an epic chant, we will follow.
3. Freaky loves to play Avril Lavine songs, most notably "Complicated"
4. Don't ever play the jukebox, we will take it over, Murdock is the "play next dick"
5. Don't drink our miller high life, Freaky knows a shark, and she is hungry.
6. Its always important to tuck in your basketball jersey, and stretch before team outings.
7. We enjoy a bar with a trough for a pisser.
8. If your a bro, or think you are a bro, then there is absolutely no hope for you to be our friend. Don't Try
9. Don't touch anything that could get you hit with a baseball bat. Don't try to pee on it either.
10. Anything can be a drinking game.

This list will continually grow, as will our stories. For now it is Wednesday, and because we have real jobs our nights out will be primarily on the weekends. That is unless we get the itch to visit the greatest bar of all time, or for some reason a great band is playing during the week. If the latter is the case, please expect the unexpected, Don't rely on us to have proper judgment, for the love of God join the party.

April 18th, 2011

Freaky was leaving to start a new job, in a different city, four hours from home. We decided to hit our favorite pizza joint for some beers. After a few pitchers The Dude arrived with his lady, helping us down a few and proceed on our way. The lady ordered a gin and tonic, she's classy.Taking an alternate route to our favorite bar due to a few unmentionables that had happened this past weekend, we arrived, The Crew in tow. As we walked through the green door to heaven, pausing only to pull it shut, we are greeted by the greatest bartender in the history of bartenders. We order a round of drinks, miller high life, and sat in the booth across from the bar. The music sucks. I grab ten dollars and throw it in the jukebox. Beer goes down smoother with great music. ZZ-top starts the set and the extra-large drunk girl follows close behind with a rant we didn't give a shit about. Something about how can someone hit play next on every single song. I felt it was a great interjection to get the night rolling at a nice pace, she didn't. Freaky was wearing a Bulls jersey, he's a die hard Chicago guy. Some in dick started giving him shit for liking his hometown team. The guy called him out for not having passion, wrong move. Freaky ensued with the old one-two punch, singing the cubs pregame radio song written by Steve Goodman. I think its obvious to that guy that Freaky has passion, he walks away. The Dude had to work in the morning, so he and The Lady went home for the night. Freaky and The Dude thought it was going to be the last time they got to see one another. It was sad, still is sad, but we got to say goodbye this morning. The night kept rolling as it always does. Beer in, Beer out. Somehow we started talking about romance novels. You know, the ones that have all the sexy stuff in them. I don't know why or how, or even where that ended up. Our songs were played through, we were drunk and had to take a shot. Lemon drops, they were great. Yeah I know, two guys drinkin' chick shots. Freaky and I started playing pool, he kicked my ass twice as per usual in any table top game. Ping-Pong is always closer than pool. The bar closed, we left after closing our tabs. We were hungry, taco hell was closed and white castle was the only place open. They have shitty food, Freaky loves it. It was raining, my rain jacket was on my bike at the house. I was wet. Bargs red cream soda was the best part of the meal, how sad. The rain kept coming, we walked home. Wet, Drunk and cold we made it to sleep once again.
